Hello friends!

Let's catch up. This is a spinoff series featuring the Marvel characters Vision & Scarlet Witch. Now while I have seen the main Marvel movies, & know the basic characters, I don't really have any knowledge of these two. Nevertheless, it was requested by a few people that I watch this & review it.

So here's my first impression of the first two episodes. It's 50s sitcom tv meets Carousel of Progress meets superheroes. The style is very quirky & extremely refreshing, & being shot in black & white gives it a nice charm that otherwise wouldn't be there. These episodes are short & seemingly simple, but with subtle hints hidden along the way. I am guessing this will be something for fans to rewatch in order to find all of the various "Easter eggs" Marvel shows are known for.

This style of acting is quite different from anything most modern actors are used to. There's a lot more required of them simply because of it this shot in black & white. These two do a splendid job of showing various strong & vivid emotions, without it being too overacted. And kudos to the writing team, who made the storylines understandable even if you don't know these characters.

Even if you're not a big Marvel or DC fan, this has enough charm that I recommend you give it a chance. It truly is a one of a kind series, & I hope Marvel continues this creative approach going forward. If the rest of the show is anything like the first two episodes, it will be something that should not be missed.

If you have any good show recommendations for me, or just general comments or suggestions, please send them my way! I truly love & appreciate all feedback.

Slainté!

Kathleen 💛
