Hello friends!

Let's catch up. I started watching this show thinking it was on Jack the Ripper, but soon found out it was on the Yorkshire Ripper. Ironically, I wasn't the only one who made this mistake.

This is a documentary series about the hunt for this 1970's serial killer, & despite the material being dated, it's actually presented in a very dynamic way. The people interviewed throughout the series change, so there's no one constant perspective throughout this. And that very much mirrors how the case goes.

The serial killer was initially thought to be a copycat of the Victorian legend, & due to this theory being widespread knowledge, it ended up prolonging the hunt for the Ripper. My favorite part of this show was hearing the perspectives of the women interviewed & what they did to show strength & unity during these times.

I rarely watch documentary shows, but I did find myself enjoying the mystery, & was fully present throughout the show. This is dark & brutal, but if you like horror, mysteries, or history, then give it a try.

If you have any good show recommendations for me, or just general comments or suggestions, please send them my way! I truly love & appreciate all feedback.

Slainté!

Kathleen 💛
