Hello friends!

Let's catch up. This show was a mini series on FX done in 8 parts, & now can be watched on Hulu. As the title suggests, this show is about Bob Fosse & Gwen Verdon, played by Sam Rockwell & Michelle Williams. It covers Fosse & Verdon's relationship throughout the years, highlighting some of the best shows of their careers, & also specific moments in their life. In 2019 when this premiered, the show was nominated for & won numerous awards. Michelle Williams won an Emmy & a Golden Globe for her role as Gwen Verdon.

The episodes all feature a different Broadway show, & highlight a specific moment, song, or bit of choreography within the show that would be well recognized by all. It starts with Sweet Charity, moves to Damn Yankees, then Cabaret, Pippin, & Chicago. The episodes also feature snippets of various films & projects Fosse directed & choreographed, as well as different snippets of Verdon's work as an actor & dancer. & throughout this, we also see Fosse & Verdon's relationship with each other.

This show had been on my list for quite a while, but I had just never got around to starting it. Once I had, I became quite addicted to watching it, & spent all of my time thinking back on this show & reflecting on how genius these two truly were. The actors do an absolutely tremendous job, & really allow you to feel wave after wave of different emotions as you experience this journey with them. The show truly speaks for itself, & if you are even the slightest bit interested in theatre, it's a must watch.

If you have any good show recommendations for me, or just general comments or suggestions, please send them my way! I truly love & appreciate all feedback.

Slainté!

Kathleen 💛
