Hello friends!

Let's catch up. This book is something I'm taking my time to really savor. It's a book I bought at the end of 2020, when I desperately needed a pick-me-up. These two individuals are people I really know nothing about, but from just reading the sleeves & back cover, I was immediately drawn in to the warmth & happiness that is the very writing of this story.

These two remarkable friends were brought together for one week to celebrate the Dalai Lama's 80th birthday, & to talk on joy & happiness, & what it means to live through hardships, but come out the other side feeling blessed & lucky to be alive. The writer paints such a vivid picture, that as a reader, you feel you're in the room with these two, watching them interact.

I like to read excerpts before bed, & on more than one occasion I've found myself actually smiling & even laughing out loud at what happens in the story. This is one of the few books that I plan on re-reading, & in the future, I'm also going to take my own notes on it.

If every human being picked up this book & spent time with it, the "idyllic world" would be very close at hand. This book has quickly become one of my top favorites, & it is a joy I hope to share with you.

If you have any good book recommendations for me, or just general comments or suggestions, please send them my way! I truly love & appreciate all feedback.

Slainté!

Kathleen 💛
