Let's Game: The Wolf Among Us

Hello friends!

Let's catch up. This game is one of my absolute favorites. It's not a new release, but definitely a game that can be played over & over again. Telltale Games are known for being story driven, which means you don't have to be quick to react, meaning any skill level can play it. However, I have to note this game is quite a mature one (rated R).

Wolf Among Us is based off of a comic book series "Fables" by Bill Willingham. Think of it as every fairy tale & fable ever known combined into one realm, all living in New York City. I've read the first 5 comics, & while I enjoyed them, I much prefer this game.

You play as Detective Bigby Wolf (aka the Big Bad Wolf) & with the help of Snow White (who essentially runs the town) you're helping solve mysteries & murders of various fairytale characters.

The game consists of 5 chapters, & each chapter is full of choices you make. Depending on what you choose, that can drastically alter & affect gameplay. There are, of course, trophies & special features that can be unlocked based off of your choices.

The graphics are yet stylized to look like comics, yet there's a lot of detail in each scene. I have to also comment on one of the best soundtracks ever made for a game. I could listen to this music for hours on end & not get sick of it.

Wolf Among Us was supposed to have a sequel released, but months before the release date, Telltale Games permanently shut down. Maybe one day that game will get released, but in the mean time, I'll keep replaying this one. Go check it out on Steam!
