I'm posting this review extremely late, but I must emphatically state, it is a magnificent show & will be leaving Chicago in a month--so if you haven't seen it, please do! It is a show I have now seen 3 times, which ties it with Lion King for my most-seen professional shows. From the intricacy of the lyrics, to the sturdy & industrial set design, to the gorgeous movement & dance of the show, it is a breathtaking piece of art to behold. Acting-wise, I have never been disappointed. Tech-wise, I have not been able to find a single fault. It is a show that you can see many times over & still discover new moments. The humanity in this show is incredibly beautiful & you find yourself relating to characters in a way that through a textbook you thought you never could. Every time I see the show I find a new favorite song or new favorite character to focus on. It is truly a work of genius & deserves all the accolades it has gotten.
