Rosemary Muldoon at Heartland Theatre, Sep 2019 – Nov 2019
I was cast in the lead role as Rosemary Muldoon in Heartland Theatre Company's production of John Patrick Shanley's "Outside Mullingar", directed by Don LaCasse.
In Outside Mullingar, Anthony and Rosemary are lovelorn farmers who haven’t got a clue when it comes to love. These hopeless singletons will need to overcome a bitter land feud, familial rivalries and their own romantic fears to find happiness. Full of dark humor and poetic prose, this tenderhearted portrait reminds us it’s never too late to take a chance on love.
My character, Rosemary, is 36 years old, & desperately in love with the boy next door, Anthony, who pushed her down when she was 6. She manipulates, pleads, & fights Anthony's father when she hears he might not pass his farm down to Anthony. She is strong-willed but exceedingly tender, & will wait years & risk absolutely everything in hopes that Anthony loves her in return.
This show was exceptionally well received, being nearly sold out the entire three week run, & finished with full standing ovations almost every night.
