January 2020-2023/24*

Back in November I was nominated for the winter committee board at Corn Stock Theatre in Peoria, IL. After talking with numerous people active in the theatre community, everyone agreed I should accept the nomination. In January I was officially asked, & I accepted.
So what is the winter committee? What am I doing? The CST Winter Committee consists of 9 people, & meets monthly to review show possibilities. We read through all submissions, offer our own suggestions, & pick the 4-5 shows to be performed at the Corn Stock Lab during the winter season. In addition, we create a "case" as for why this show is important to the Lab, how we would utilize the space, who would be directing, tech crew, etc. Then when we have cases built for our shows, we present them to the Board in November. The Board votes & depending on accepting or rejecting shows, we have our next season.
My role on the winter committee will last 3 years. It's a big commitment, but I'm passionate about theatre, & my goal during these 3 years is to make a positive difference for Peoria area theatre. I have a fresh perspective, have had professional theatre training, & want nothing more than to promote & elevate the theatre to a new standard of excellence.
So keep an eye out for what Corn Stock Theatre will be doing. & if you have any suggestions, please send them my way! :)
**Due to Covid-19 shutting down all theatre in 2020, my time on the board may be extended through 2024**
